About Kristi

There is nothing more profound than an equal opportunity, childhood education. It is with this sentiment that I seek your trust and partnership on the deliverance of my interest and intent to serve on the Boerne ISD’s Board of Trustees position 6 to replace Donna Sharp after resignation. My goal is simple; to bring my knowledge and experience to the table to help maintain superior, traditional education in our public school system. We must continue to grasp the core principles of education, maintain the positive influence of teacher/student and teacher/parent culture, promote transparency with integrity, and carry on financial stewardship with exceptional management.

Why is all of this so important to me? When I was in elementary school I used to come home from school just to play school. For Christmas I asked for red pens, chalk boards, and gradebooks. Education remains fun, powerful, challenging, and life changing all at once. The influence of my school teachers, coaches, counselors, and administrators in the public education system enabled me to change the collegiate legacy of my family making me the first person in my family to go to college, and you guessed it...become a teacher.

Teaching at Boerne Middle School North was a dream come true and when it was time to raise three Greyhounds of our own, I began substituting on various campuses within BISD, which I still enjoy to this day. I have also had the privilege of serving two PTO presidential terms, one of which I am currently serving out at Boerne High School. With this leadership comes Site Based Decision Making, Long Range Steering, District Communications, and more valuable experience inside and outside of our campus walls.

My husband and I have lived, worked, served, and loved Boerne for over 20 years. Our three children are currently attending Boerne Middle School North and Boerne High School, all after each attending Curington Elementary. We hope you agree that relationships, experience, and passion are valuable assets for a board position and what drives our family decision for me to seek a seat at our profound table of education.
